Antique markets and flea markets (second hand markets) are among the few events that are almost identical across the globe. The landscape, the language and the "background" may be different, but the fascination and charm is the same. Moreover, the word "flea market" is reflected in the different languages (loppemarked, mercato delle pulci etc.) and describes well the places where the objects have been stored for a long time.
